Le 4 juillet 2024, la Food and Drug Administration of Thaïlande a annoncé une consultation sur les amendements présents dans le règlement MOPH Notification No. 444 B.E.2023 Re: Prescribing the Principle, Conditions, Methods, and Proportion of Food Additives (No.3).

Les changements majeurs sont les suivants :

  • Ajout de nouveaux additifs alimentaires : Extrait riche en β-carotène de Dunaliella Salina (INS 160a(iv)), Jagua Blue (INS 183), Extrait de spiruline (INS 134).
  • Modification du niveau maximal d’utilisation dans les aliments : Caroténal, beta-apo-8′- (INS 160e), Allura Red AC (INS 129).
  • Extension du champ d’application autorisé : Tartrazine (INS 102), Azorubine (INS 122).
  • Suppression du champ d’application autorisé : Carotenal, beta-apo-8′- (INS 160e), Tartrazine (INS 102), Azorubine (INS 122).
  • Suppression de certains additifs alimentaires : Azodicarbonamide (INS 927a), Ortho-phénylphénol (INS 231) et Sodium ortho-phénylphénol (INS 232).
