Le panel NDA de l’EFSA vient de rendre 5 avis pour l’emploi d’allégations art. 14 (réduction du risque de maladie/santé infantile) demandées par la société Biomed S.A (Pologne), pour l’ingrédient Lactoral, un mix de probiotiques
(1/3 Lactobacillus plantarum, 1/3 Lactobacillus rhamnosus, 1/3 Bifidobacterium longum).
Les cinq allégations (immunité, santé intestinale, colonisation de l’intestin, maintien de la microflore, construction de la barrière intestinale) ont toutes été rejetées par les experts de l’agence européenne. Raisons invoquées : caractérisation des souches utilisées insuffisante, manque de précision ou de pertinence quant à l’effet allégué, manque de preuves quant à l’effet allégué (pas de relation de cause à effet démontrée).
